The One with all the Finalized Venue Decorator

I know I've not been updating. :( Blame it on no one but myself and my endless list of to-dos which has surprisingly progressed into 10-yr series instead of a short 20-liner.

I've officially turned into a bride-zilla. *gasp*

Met up with Flo from Imp*** Creat*** and came out of the discussion with a further deflated hope (if that is possible) of achieving my dream solemnisation. Her incompetence and creativity level is so appalling, I wanted to reach across her work table in her sparsely decorated office and shake her silly. We managed to strike up a meagre deal but came back home later to an email from her stating a not-so-meagre pricelist. With the rates she's charging for less than mediocre standards, I would rather take the plunge and hire Poppy to do up my venue.

Thank goodness for Jac from Lovedroplets. You saved my life. :)

Upon showing her my color palette, she plucked little ribbon colour boards from her noticeboard and showed me her opinions to whimsify the venue. Totally my style. An initial intention for visiting Lovedroplets to just get a bridal bouquet turned out to be deal struck for our venue decor. I am absolutely in love with her quaint little shop. It smells and looks exactly like what I imagine a decorator's showroom should be.

This is my new color board.

Loving the whimsical feel of it
Take that Flo, you suck!

A huge sigh of relief on my part. The weight on my shoulders has been pretty trying. But yes! I(we) did it! Chop chop chopping it from my list!

List for this weekend
1) Ikea for decor
2) Suit fitting for BB
3) SMC venue recee

Jia you!

The One with the Tie

I have picked my ROM dress! (which will be revealed come ROM day) and have been on a hunt in search of a matching tie for the dearest.

And yesterday... I found it!

I believe it's one of the few days where we can be in matchy-matchy attire and get away with it simply because it's expected and understandable. I'm one of those (and Eugene considers himself a lucky man) who sees couple tees as a HUGE fashion faux pas and will never dare step out of the house wearing a boyfriend / girlfriend tee. I draw the line at same coloured attire.

Such a hefty price tag for a tiny tie, but totally worth it because the colour scheme complements me to a tee and the design is the exact kind of subtle elegance he loves.

Love the grey tones under normal lighting

and how it turns silverish with flash

and the subtle preens... loves!

HAPPY super EARLY ANNIVERSARY! xoxo

The One with the Flowers

Flowers have been on my mind for the past week. The images in my head are filled with different coloured roses, freesias, eustomas, sweet williams, maria roses and lilies. Times like this I wish I had a wedding planner, someone to swoop in and rescue me from all the decisions I have to fret over.
Heading for a meeting with Sarah from Poppy today. Perhaps she'll come to my rescue by stunning me with the bouquet of my dreams. After that is done, I'll sweep the husbo-to-be over to Michelangelo to celebrate the end of an extremely stressful week.

Freighting over some decor for EMC because I, the pain-in-the-butt bride thinks the cafe looks too everyday to pass off as a setting for a celebratory luncheon.

On a side note, I have downgraded 1.5kg from the frenzy of it all. So for brides who have been googling on how to lose weight, this is the perfect solution. Plan your own wedding because the closer you are to achieving your dream wedding, the hotter you'll look in your wedding gown. How's that for efficiency? :)
