Finally got down to writing abt my 2Xth birthday celebration with dearest. Instead of calling it 'stuck in a rut', I'd like to think of it as, 'celebrating the best way we know how'. Nobody does dinner and a movie better than Mr Chua, because he knows how to jazz it up with beautiful bouquets, romantic cards and a present to blow me away :)
Thank you for the wonderful day baby, you sure know how to render your girl speechless :)
Love you!
On a sidenote, the service at DB Bistro is impeccable! They willingly replenished my cheese choux with no qualms! And the complimentary lemon madeleines, orgasmic. I can't wait to try their ribeye the next time I'm there!

The one with the Ronald kitty
Being sick sucks, and two days before your birthday no less. What a grand way to usher in the big 2X. (;_;)
'!£#+(>¥!!'
I refuse to be ill! *stomps feet*
Hubby got this for meeee! Poor dear had to gain weight coz I was in no condition for maccas. My only kitty coz I think it's the cutest :)
Lots of discounts from merchants and foodie places pouring in for the month of June! Getting super excited from the birthday benefits that I can utilize. But it sure feels like the whole of Singapore gets to enjoy during my birthday month for my benefits ALWAYS coincides with the Great Singapore Sale. Geeez.... Thank goodness for g2k who screwed up my date of birth which means I only receive my birthday benefit in Oct. A good thing I suppose v(^.^)v
P.S: Congrats again darling! So proud of you :) Muacks!

The One with the Diet Journal Part One
Shopping is a big part of my life, be it online, window or picking up a new blouse from the neatly stacked piles in a store. It's my way of regaining some form of sanity after a long day at work. Despite the nature of my job, I find it hard to be a numbers type of person. Pretty things in the wardrobe are the way to go. Mr Chua will disagree and tell me that money is very pretty too.
Men...
Lately however, I find myself lamenting more and more on how awful clothes look on me. They no longer fit the way they used to. Skirts and dresses that used to flow down nicely over my hips now only strive to make them look bigger, oh gawd and don't get me started on my face and the potential double chin that is forming and my elephant arms!! wtf?! And to make matters worse, I have officially upgraded from a size S to a M / L. sonofabiatch. ^%&(*)*&*%!$%#
So I've made a decision to start something which I've been procrastinating for a while. I won't allow my dad to have the satisfaction of calling me a ball whenever he feels like it. Gonna lose weight I am.
Hence, I have decided to embark on a weight loss journey. Have started on a program and although it has only been 3 days, I am feeling oddly more energetic than I normally would have at 6pm.
Will share more details as I dive more into it. With hard work and determination comes results right?
Gambatte Sylvia! Think wedding dress, think slim and happy bride, think unforgiving pictures that will be in the album FOREVER!!

The One with Ippudo and Free Tickets
Met mumsy for dinner at Ippudo last night. The queue was so horrendous I contemplated abandoning ship and walking into the beautiful Antoinette for some foie gras and kobe beef.
But flipping through the menu of Antoinette's ricochetted me back in line for Ippudo because I was feeling a tad broke. I entertained myself by pressing my nose up against the glass while drooling at diners in Ippudo slurping their large bowls of soup and refusing to leave.
Overall, it was worth the wait. The soup was tasty and not too salty, with the perfectly cooked runny tamago and an extremely stingy slice of chasu. We had the shiro-maru with my noodles done medium and mumsy's done soft. Perhaps because this was our first trip to Ippudo, we had nothing but praises for the food despite critics such as hungrygowhere.com as well as friends who have frequented other ramen joints telling me they've had better. What can I say, other than sometimes virgin experiences can be pleasurable. ;)
So girls, go grab the book at Kino! The free tickets are whilst stocks last!

I stopped by Kinokuniya attempting to refresh my memory on the last new book I picked up. Despite technology such as Kindle and E-books flooding the market, the thought of actual hardcopies and the smell of books still have me intoxicated. My eyes browsed through the spanking new copies of 'Hot new releases' and I picked up the expected girly read, 'The Lucky One'. The poster above the stacks read, "Free movie tickets giveaway with purchase of 'The Lucky One' out in cinemas now!" Thats how I ended up with a new book and 2 free movie tickets. Come on, Zac Efron! What do you expect yuh? heehee~
So girls, go grab the book at Kino! The free tickets are whilst stocks last!
P.S. The movie was soo good! Even the 'rolls-eyes at chick-flick hubby liked it!
*swoons at Zac Efron*
