The One with the new Waterway Point

Just look at this piece of art. G.O.Rgeous!!

Ooo... lookie at the size of the mall!

Alfresco waterfront dining

Hurray Punggol!

Punggol newest upcoming shopping mall Waterway Point, which sits on top of the new Watertown condominium is just massive, and has well, almost everything. It's twice the size of Bishan J8 and everything you need is taken care of. Food, groceries, basic necessities, entertainment, cinema, books, banks and shops. Ahh...heaveennn... Just a stone throw away from my future abode. I really can't ask for more :)

If you get tired of the variety there, the MRT is directly linked to the mall and you're a good 22 mins away from Dhoby Ghaut for a stint of shopping in town. Even the LRT and bus interchange are connected. So lovely, I'm in Punggol heaven.

I've a friend who was ecstatic about securing a 1-mil unit at the Luxurie @ Sengkang. I'm preettyy sure she's beating herself up right about now seeing that Watertown is definitely more luxurious (amenities and location wise) than Luxurie.

The One with the Make-up Storage Choices

As the dear hubs marks off the calendar and count down the days till the flat arrives, I'm casually doodling on pieces of paper during work, pondering over wall colours and sofa materials and how I can transform the humble abode into a showroom-worthy space.

As I scavenge the internet for ideas, aimlessly typing on the keyboard till something interesting catches my eye, I always find myself worrying about the same question over and over. "Where the heck am I going to store all my stuff?!"

Guilty as charged, I'm not one to live frugally (which I reaaaally ought to). The mountains of crap which I have accumulated over the years have astounded even me because I can never remember what I buy. Needless to say, I sometimes end up with something which I already have. And my latest obsession with expanding my make-up collection, not helping -_-"

Instead of googling for new products which I DON'T need, I started hunting for make-up storages and how I can transform my war-zone of a dressing table into something more presentable.

So for some of you out there who are having the same dilemma as I over make-up storage, here are some ideas I found.

I find myself gravitating towards 1,5,6,7,8,11 and 12. So neat and pretty!

But... my all time favourite, is this DIY combo from IKEA. So.damn.clever

The One with the NY's Resolutions

It's never an easy feat, penning down NY's resolutions only to go through them at the end of every year realizing what an utter failure you have been. Not always true but more often than not, whatever was on the previous list somehow manages to wiggle it's way into the 'new' list of to-dos for the year.

I shall be realistic this yr then. No more BS.

1) Lose 3kg and KEEP it there (*gawd*)
2) Save 20% if not more of my pay every month
3) Invest cautiously
4) Think, double think and triple think before I buy something (no more beauty products! Well.. maybe some shoes and clothes, and oh bags! oh crap...)
5) Declutter, declutter, declutter (Messy home be gone!)
6) Catch up on daily current affairs (excluding people.com)
7) Be on time for appointments ( I know I know...)
8) For everything I wish to do, research for cheaper alternatives first (travel, restaurant outings, hair, facial)
9) Set a budget for anniversary gifts and dining outs (I hope hubby likes gifts from Daiso)
10) Be systematic and anti-procrastinating

A 6 month review will be done to see if any of these have been accomplished or broken, following which I should be severely reprimanded. (Depending on the circumstances of course)

So how did you spend your NYE?

This NYE saw hubby and I attempting to grow up and not join the usual firework crowd. He and I came to a consensus that we are too old for crowd squeezing and fireworks ooh-ing so we planned a whole day of jolly fun to pass the last day of the 2011.

But instead, what transpired was...

6.30am: Woke up to Mum telling me she needs a lift to catch the company's bus
6.45am: Drove mum to the MRT
7.00am: Crashed back into bed
7.45am: Woke up to dad showering really noisily
8.30am: Woke up to the shrill of my mobile and listened to my aunt preach about me not boiling hearty home-made soup for my poor mother
8.45am: Hung up the phone and attempted to go back to sleep
8.50am: Jolted awake by my phone and listened to my mum complain about how my aunt called her to talk about boiling hearty soup
9.00am: Am dead pissed off about not being able to fall back asleep. Proceed to toss and turn for the next hr
10.30am: The alarm rang
12pm: Drove to dearie's place and went for lunch
2pm: Arrived at Nex Mall and got really excited about having Jack's Place. Dead pissed that JP has a special "NYE" menu instead of the usual fare. Not.That.Great
3pm: Went to NTUC and bought stuff for cooking The Last Supper
4pm: Queued tamade long to pay for groceries
5pm: Cooked up a storm of seafood pasta, lobster bisque with crayfish with roasted porkribs and chicken
6pm: Ate The Last Supper with Bridget Jones Diary on the telly
8pm: Headed to 112Katong for drinks and movie
10-12am: Watched "Flying swords of Dragon Gate" the worst movie for the entire 2011. Ironic isn't it?

The best thing that happened, was the kiss I stole at midnight from the hubz. Here's to many New Yrs baby! Love you!
