I wasn't much of a follower but I've read about the incident that shook up the whole blogosphere and was quite appalled by the incident.
But because all these words and pictures were all happening virtually, it doesn't seem real till you actually see it. So I conveniently forgot about the matter till Tuesday, when I saw them in the flesh together for the first time.
Hubby and I were taking a walk after a nice meal at Saveur and we passed by this little place called Cafe Pal opposite the National Library and I saw a familiar face by the window posing with a cuppa in front of her, smiling into the camera. The camera dude was none other than Alvin and right there, all those words from Yuki's facebook page and comments from the blogosphere committee transformed itself into the full blown ugliness in front of me. I couldn't help but feel a wave of sorrow for Yuki because of how nonchalant and disturbingly happy they seem. Not my place to judge and comment but, life seems unfair at that point of time. I couldn't stand to look so I walked away quickly.
oh welsh... moving on!
Dinner at Saveur was.... all right. Good for hawker standard, could be better for restaurant.
very hungry! |
very engrossed... |
why outside no crispy? the apple was a nice touch |
frothy mushroom soup. not too bad. |
Tasted like Mee kia... |
It doesn't look all TOO appetizing does it? Wish the mushroom was sauteed more and the mash had a touch of truffle in it. Way too little sauce, had to ask for more. |
This on the other hand, was really yummy! |
Seriously.. what is this?? Not appetizing looks wise. Tasted like glorified Nutella Mousse |
